66 Degrees of Sound
Welcome to 66 Degrees of Sound, a show by The Reykjavík Grapevine bringing you all the latest music releases in Iceland. The Reykjavík Grapevine is an English language magazine published 18 times a year, focusing on all things Iceland-related. Launched in 2003, the independent magazine has long been a leading voice in Icelandic culture.
In this show made for music lovers and Icelandophiles, Grapevine journalists Rex Beckett and Jóhannes Bjarkason discuss and play some of the latest new music releases in Iceland.
The show releases three episodes per week. Artist Spotlight on Tuesdays, where the hosts are joined by a musician; Hot Happenings on Thursdays, where some of the most exciting events in Reykjavík are covered; and Saturday Morning Mix on Saturdays, featuring a curated playlist for your weekend's delight.
This show is produced by the Reykjavík Grapevine.
66 Degrees of Sound
Saturday Morning Mix #9
We are fresh as the lupins in full bloom and quoting The Cure on this fine Saturday morning! Coming at you with a tangent-heavy introspective episode, this week's mix is full of darkpop gems, cool summery bops and eighth grade mallgoth perfection (it is not a phase, mom.)
We also remembered that our sweet new mixer has a soundboard so we go full ham on the airhorn. Let us know in the comments if you want more or less airhorn.
