Rex Beckett
Rex Beckett is the Listings Editor and a journalist at The Reykjavík Grapevine. They have been a fixture in the Reykjavík culture scene for over a decade, as a writer, musician, and performer.
Originally from Montreal—and oddly proud of it—Rex relocated to Iceland in 2009 and have been involved with Grapevine in many capacities since then. They’ve also been known in the underground music scene as darkwave diva Rex Pistols, and the front-person of defunct synthpop band Antimony.
Rex is currently working on new music under a secret name. They are also closely linked with the dance community and work with words, language and sound in multiple capacities. They are still obsessed with the movie Titanic.
